ZEISS Batis 2.8/135 – First Look by Brian Smith
ZEISS Batis 2.8/135 E mount lens is the fourth member of the Batis lens family. Like the other Batis lenses, the new 135mm was designed to provide the best possible combination of performance and handling characteristics.
In order to keep the size and weight in proportion to Sony a7 series of cameras, ZEISS chose to use an f/2.8 aperture vs the f/2.0 version in the ZEISS Milvus 135mm f/2 lens. This allows the ZEISS Batis 2.8/135 lens to perfectly balance to the small size and light weight of Sony mirrorless cameras and remain comfortable to use over extended periods.
Together with the advanced optical design, ZEISS is known for, and built-in image stabilization, the Batis 2.8/135 is a good choice for wedding, portrait, travel and outdoor photography.
